By downloading, installing, or using Glucoscape, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Glucoscape is an educational application that analyses diabetes-related data to provide insights and pattern recognition.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Glucoscape is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Glucoscape is for educational and informational purposes only.

The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Insights generated by the app should not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diabetes management
In case of emergency, contact your healthcare provider or emergency services immediately
The app is not a substitute for professional medical judgement

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information when setting up your account
Keep your account credentials secure
Use the app in accordance with applicable laws
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or compromise the app
Not use the app for any unlawful purpose
Not rely solely on the app for diabetes management decisions

5. Data Sources

Glucoscape accesses your glucose data through:

Dexcom API — via their official developer program, subject to Dexcom's terms
Nightscout — your self-hosted instance, under your control

We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or reliability of third-party data sources.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Subscription fees are billed through the Apple App Store
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

7. Care Team Features

If you use the Care Team sharing feature:

You are responsible for whom you invite
We do not independently verify that invitees are healthcare providers
Shared insights are for informational purposes only
Healthcare providers using shared data do so under their own professional judgement

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Glucoscape are owned by Sett & Stone Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SETT & STONE LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sett & Stone Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app's settings. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
